Because the Meguiar's system to restore headlight lens uses a buffing pad, rather than an abrasive pad, it will not scratch your vehicle's paint. The kit includes PlastX polish, a buffing pad, and a microfiber towel. Meguiar's headlamp restoration kit also promises to work on more than just restoring headlights, it also states that it will remove scratches, oxidation and yellowing from plastic on all parts of a vehicle, including brake lights and convertible windows.

The advantage of using this headlamp restoration kit is that you don't have to spend forever manually trying to remove headlight residue, although you must have a drill to use the product. By and large, product reviews were positive, but several people commented that headlight restoration was only temporary, some people were seeing cloudiness again within a matter of months. Another thing that people did not like is that the buffing pad is apparently rather flimsy.
